One third of London pupils miss first choice school

Proof of the growing population bombshell in London comes in news that one third of families did not get their first choice school when offers were made yesterday.

Demand for places rose by 5% from the previous year, that in turn rose an additional 4% from the year before that.

In some boroughs the figures were even worse – in Hammersmith and Fulham only 55% of families were offered a place in their first choice school.
